Meet our Team

Our team behind BBRF are all unpaid volunteers. Each volunteer has a full time job and gives up their time to ensure the work of the charity is able to continue. If you want to get in touch with any of our team email us at or go to our contact us page.

Andy - Founder

Hi my name Andy and I’m the founder of the BBRF. I’ve had a keen passion for motorcycles since I was a young child something my family could never understand but perhaps the milkman did lol. I got on a bike as soon as possible at the age of 15 and have been riding continuously ever since, around the UK, Europe and my home counties of Devon and Cornwall.

My background originally was in social care which I was involved with for many years before going into retail and running my own small chain of Newsagents /grocery stores. When I have time and I’m not riding, I spend a lot of time with my autistic son who lives with me on a permanent basis. We take full advantage of living in Devon with walking across Dartmoor and spending time around the beautiful coast.

My time at the head of the BBRF has been amazing, I have opportunity to meet and work with some incredible people across the years and its been an honour to be able to help support the riders and families through the organisation.

Ginny - Membership & PR

Hi I’m Ginny, most of you will know me as Fred, a nickname I’ve had forever. I wear many hats within the BBRF team. One of the hats is membership guru. I collate, update and post all the yearly memberships. Public relations and fundraising are other hats, plus a myriad of things that come up and need to be dealt with.

I joined the team at the end of 2013 after I answered a post for reps and became the only rep in Scotland. I love what I do, meeting everyone at the rallies, helping bikers back to health and getting back on their feet after accidents. Sadly there are fatalities, but we are here for the families too. Our support has helped thousands of people, and I’ve made lifelong friends through my work with BBRF. Volunteering isn’t always easy, it is however, always rewarding.

Ride safe.

Julie - Treasurer

I’m julie and I’ve been a part of the BBRF since 2014 when I signed up with Andy at the BITM rally at Mersea Island. After a long conversation with Andy and Pete about the vision for the charity I was hooked and became a Representative with my husband Nick. We covered 26 events all over the country for the first year!

Since then I have taken on different roles my main one being the processing of new applications. I Love the work we do and the help we give. I hope to carry on for a long while yet!

Shaun - Marketing

Hi I’m Shaun and the guy behind the website, social media and emails. I’m the newbie to the team. I originally came onboard as I own 3rd Pixel and we provided BBRF with website hosting and marketing support but after being involved for over a year nearly I wanted to give back to the charity so came onboard as a volunteer offering my services free to BBRF and working very closely with Andy and Ginny to raise the profile of the charity online

I love being involved with BBRF and its great to see the charity grow through the work we do online. Maybe even one day I might venture onto two wheels instead of four….
